How we work
Our APK Review Process
Before any download button appears on this site, the APK goes through a full inspection on real phones. No emulators, no shortcuts, no paid placements. Here is the exact checklist, in order.
The six-step inspection
Six steps, always in this order. A build that fails any one of them never gets a download button.
Source verification
We trace the file to its origin and confirm the package name matches the known-good release. A renamed or repackaged file is rejected right here.
Malware scan
Automated multi-engine malware and signature scanning before the file touches any phone. Anything flagged is rejected and the review ends.
Install test
Sideloaded on each of our five lab phones. Install failures, permission surprises, and crashes are logged per device.
Hands-on use
The app gets genuinely used over several days: loading songs, scrolling lyrics, changing keys, recording, casting to TV, backgrounding mid-song, rebooting. Real sessions, not a thirty-second demo.
Permission audit
Every permission the app requests is listed on the review page and explained in plain words. If a karaoke app wants your contacts, you will read exactly why we flagged it.
Verdict and publish
Only after all five steps pass does the download button go live, with the test notes published alongside. A failed build gets an honest write-up of what went wrong instead.
Our five test phones
An app that only works on flagships is not a working app for most readers. Our lab spans Android 12 to 16, from budget handsets to flagships.

What we check
File safety: malware scan results and signature verification, published with the review.
Permissions: every requested permission listed and explained in plain language.
Audio quality: playback smoothness, lyric sync accuracy, and Bluetooth speaker behavior measured.
Compatibility: install and run results across all five lab phones.
Offline behavior: what works with no connection, since kantahan often happens off-grid.
Updates: whether new versions install cleanly over old ones without losing songs.
Where our ratings come from
Public ratings on this site come from Google, where the app is listed. We show the real aggregate rating and review count, exactly as published.
No public Google rating? Then we say so. You will never find an invented score here. Our own verdict is separate: the pass or fail from the six-step inspection above, written out on every review page.
No fake dates
You will not see fake "Updated today" stamps here. That is deliberate: a review site cannot honestly re-verify every file daily, so we refuse to pretend. When a build is re-tested or replaced, the review text says what changed. The rest stays undated rather than misleading.
